Assembling and painting styrene model kits has been a hobby of mine since my teens. Most of the kits are vehicles or characters from movies and TV shows. I've learned many techniques over the years for both building and painting, and at times I've gone back to some older kits, disassembled and then refurbished them. Books, photos, screen shots from films and TV, and online sources have been my guides for details and weathering. I also had the privilege of seeing the original Star Wars studio models built by Industrial Light and Magic while they were on display in Chicago, IL, USA, where I took reference photos. I custom-mix the majority of my colors, using enamels, lacquers, or acrylics, depending on the desired result. Lots of sanding, patching, and some scratch building goes into it too. I just really enjoy the relaxing peace of model building, the challenging details, and the satisfaction that comes with finishing a kit. I hope you enjoy this collection of my favorite completions.
